Kia ora koutou,

The devastation across the motu as a result of Cyclone Gabrielle continues to be at the forefront of our minds this week. Nuku Ora staff and whānau extend their sympathies and aroha to those affected over the past few weeks. There is a Māori proverb pertaining to efforts of cooperation and a pooling of resources in order to meet a common goal, relevant to current times. Naku te rourou nau te rourou ka ora ai te iwi, (with your basket and my basket the people will live).
